Attorney-general’s car in accident

The vehicle of attorney-general George Savvides was embroiled in a car accident in Limassol on Monday, with three other vehicles damaged as a result.

The accident happened at Heroes Square, while Savvides was at church. His driver, a police officer, sustained minor injuries as a result and was transferred to Limassol general hospital for tests.

Savvides was at church for October 28, Oxi day celebrations.

Under conditions which are still being investigated, a driver trying to get onto Andrea Drousioti street next to Rialto failed to stop at a stop sign, and crashed into the AG’s vehicle.
