'Disgraceful': Outraged Trump demands apology after NYC rally — from Tim Walz

0

Former President Donald Trump wants an apology regarding his rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday.

Not from widely-condemned comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who called Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage" and made crude jokes about Latinos having babies.

Not from Hulk Hogan, who apparently made an oral sex joke targeting Vice President Kamala Harris that involved physical mimicry.

Not from Tucker Carlson, who misidentified Harris' origins in a speech critics are calling "racist" and "weird."

Not from sanitation worker David Rem, who called Harris the anti-Christ, nor from businessman Grant Cardone who said her "pimp handlers will destroy our country."

A spokesperson for Trump said Monday he wants an apology from Harris' running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN).

“Kamala Harris’ campaign is copying Hillary Clinton’s strategy of attacking half the country," said Karoline Leavitt in a statement.

"Tim Walz needs to apologize for his disgraceful comments smearing Trump supporters. This kind of rhetoric has already inspired assassination attempts."

Walz, at a campaign event in Nevada the same day as Trump's rally, said the following:

"Go do your Google on this. Donald Trump has this big rally going on in Madison Square Garden. There's a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the 1930s in Madison Square Garden. And don't think for one second he doesn't know exactly what they're doing there."

The venue was used for a huge rally by the pro-Hitler American Nazi Party in the '30s.

Trump's rally has also spurred accusations of extremist rhetoric as Cardone called for slaughter on Election Day and the former president warned of "enemies within" — American citizens upon whom he'd like to sic the U.S. military.

"When I say the enemy from within, the other side goes crazy," Trump said. "They're smart and they're vicious. And we have to defeat them."
