Oris Launches Divers Sixty-Five Date Cotton Candy “White Star”
After a vibrant wave of colorful dials that have dominated the collections in the past several years, some watch brands seem to take a step back to basics, introducing simple black or white dials again and shifting toward monochrome sophistication. The latest example is the Divers Sixty-Five Cotton Candy Date “White Star” from Oris. Based on the popular Cotton Candy series introduced in 2021 and distinguished by brightly colored dials combined with modestly sized bronze cases, the latest edition features a pure white dial that hints at the upcoming winter sport season. It is furnished with the typical mix of round and rectangular markers, the bold hands, and the date indication at 6 o’clock. As befits a sports watch, Superluminova coating allows for readability in all light conditions.
Other than that, the retro-style timepiece follows the requisites of the line, with a bronze case with a diameter of 38mm and a water-resistance of 100 meters and a three-link bronze bracelet. The uni-directional rotating bezel features a minutes scale in relief, and a bronze crown.
In terms of performance, the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Cotton Candy Date “White Star” is equipped with a self-winding movement, the Oris Caliber 733, based on the Sellita SW200-1. Ticking behind a closed stainless steel case back, it offers an instantaneous-date and a stop-seconds function.
The watch retails for approximately $3,300 when converted to USD.
