Fixtures
- Ross County Vs. Hibernian - Wed, Oct 30th 2024, 19:45
The Lowdown
The match at the Global Energy Stadium will kick-off at 7.45pm on Wednesday 30 October, 2024.
We come into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Hearts at Easter Road. David Gray’s side put in a valiant performance and created a number of chances, but we conceded a late equaliser and had to settle for a point in the Edinburgh Derby.
We currently sit 12th in the league table, with six points after nine fixtures. Ross County are seventh in the William Hill Premiership with 10 points from 10 games.
Our Opponents
Ross County have had a solid start to the 2024/25 campaign, and have been one of the best performers on home soil.
The Staggies have the fourth best home record in the William Hill Premiership this season – behind Rangers, Aberdeen and Celtic.
Don Cowie’s side come into this game off the back of a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday. They came from a goal behind to beat the 10-men of Killie, thanks to a strike from Jordan White and an own goal from Joe Wright.
They have also beaten Dundee at home, and drawn with St Johnstone and Dundee United. The only sides to beat them at the Global Energy Stadium are Aberdeen and Celtic.
Ross County’s top goalscorer so far this season is Ronan Hale with seven in all competitions. The forward – who can play anywhere across the front three – joined them from Cliftonville in the summer.
Team News
David Gray was without Chris Cadden and Nicky Cadden at the weekend. However, Nicky could return on Wednesday evening. He's continued to work hard with the physios and completed this morning's session (Monday 28 October).
Our Head Coach will be buoyed by the return of Joe Newell too – he missed the Hearts game through suspension.
Lastly, Kieron Bowie continues to recover from his long-term hamstring injury.
