Spirit Christmas no longer coming to Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- With the holiday season rapidly approaching, Spirit Christmas was going to debut with 10 stores on the East Coast, including one at Colonie Center in Albany. Sadly, according to the Spirit Halloween public relations team, the Christmas-themed store will no longer come to the Capital Region.

Spirit Halloween's PR team gave the following statement, "Based on the initial positive reaction to our Spirit Christmas test, we have made the difficult decision to adjust the store count from 10 to 8 locations. We know that this is disappointing to the Albany community, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience."

While the Albany location has been taken away, there will still be one in Poughkeepsie at 2020 South Road. This location is a former Bed Bath & Beyond.
