Lane closures on Johnston Street this week may cause traffic delays

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- If you use Johnston Street on your commute, you may want to leave a little earlier than usual this week.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said lane closures are scheduled for Johnston Street between Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Bertrand Drive starting today and ending Thursday.
DOTD said outside lanes in both directions will close intermittently from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to allow crews to perform roadway maintenance.
The road will be open to regular traffic and no detour route is necessary, DOTD said.
