Here’s the First Look at Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen
Twentieth Century Fox has unveiled the first images of Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen from the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, and the resemblance between “The Boss” and the Bear star is fairly startling.
The pictures show White wearing a leather jacket with a partially unbuttoned flannel shirt, his hair messily swept aside. White is starring alongside Succession’s Jeremy Strong in Deliver Me From Nowhere, which is based on Warren Zanes’ book Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. Strong will play Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager. The film is directed by Scott Cooper, who previously led Jeff Bridges to an Oscar win for 2010’s Crazy Heart.

White spoke recently to GQ about becoming a rock star for the film, which charts the production of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska, a follow-up to his massively successful The River. “I’m really lucky that there’s sort of a team of folks now in place to help young actors portray rock stars,” White said. “I’ve got a really talented group of people helping me train vocally, musically, to get ready for this thing.”
Rock star biopics have become a hot commodity in Hollywood lately, both in terms of gross and awards buzz. Rami Malek won an Oscar for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) and Austin Butler was nominated for Elvis (2022). Timothée Chalamet is also garnering awards talk for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, due in theaters on Dec. 25.
