Albany Co. DA candidate David Soares talks issues with NEWS10
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - There are three candidates running for Albany County District Attorney. One of them is the democratic David Soares.
The incumbent lost his bid for the democratic nomination when Lee Kindlon beat him in the June primary. Soon after, Soares announced he would remain in the race as a write-in candidate. Republican Ralph Ambrosio is the third person running.
One of the top issues in this election is bail reform. Soares says it's been a failure since it was enacted in 2019 and needs to go. He says this isn't about politics, it's about safety.
Soares sat down with News10's Ryan Peterson to discuss law and order in Albany County.
