Arrest made after Scotia dessert shop burglary

SCOTIA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Scotia man was arrested in connection to a burglary in early October, according to the Scotia Police Department. Marcus Vandeusen, 22, is facing multiple charges.

Police say Vandeusen is accused of breaking into Nibble Nosh on Mohawk Avenue on October 4. He allegedly stole money after breaking the business' front door and cash register.

Vandeusen was taken into custody on October 5. He now faces the following charges:

  • Third-degree burglary
  • Third-degree criminal mischief
  • Petit Larceny
  • Possession of burglar tools

Vandeusen was reportedly on parole for a separate burglary at the time of his arrest. He was remanded to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility following his arraignment.
