Jenna Dewan Gushed Over Fiancé Steve Kazee After He Reportedly Shaded Channing Tatum on Social Media
Jenna Dewan isn’t going to give any air to the reported controversy that her fiancé Steve Kazee shaded her ex-husband, Channing Tatum, on his Instagram Story. Instead, she’s busy celebrating Kazee’s 49th birthday.
The 43-year-old actress shared a carousel of snapshots on Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 30 honoring her husband-to-be’s 49th birthday. (You can see the images here.) The photos captured loving moments from their six-year romance, including images featuring their children, son Callum, 4, and daughter Rhiannon, four months, along with daughter Everly, 11, from her marriage to Tatum.
“Happy birthday to my love, my best friend, and the glue to our little family,” Dewan wrote in the caption to Kazee. “Grateful is not a big enough word. You make everything fuller and infinitely funnier. I have many times wished I could give your mom the biggest and longest hug thanking her for bringing you into this world and into my life… But today I wish it the most. Here’s to all the years ahead..growing together, loving harder, and laughing louder. We love you so much and always will…!!”
While Dewan and Kazee were busy eating birthday cake, fans were noticeably commenting on the Broadway star’s apparent diss of Tatum after it was announced that he and fiancée Zoë Kravitz had broken up. His “HAHA” post on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, Oct. 29 — yes, right around the same time as the split news was released— forced Dewan’s rep to issue a denial. (You can see those photos here.)
Kazee was apparently laughing at a meme that showed a dead plant in a kitchen. The houseplant in my kitchen watching me put water in the coffee maker…,” the meme said. Dewan’s spokesperson noted that it is “something he’s notorious for at home.” OK, we guess that’s possible, but fans aren’t buying it. There were quite a few clever “HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAPPPPY BIRTHDAY” comments below the post.
Dewan and Tatum recently wrapped up their divorce after battling it out over his Magic Mike franchise for six years. The financial fight didn’t sound like fun for either of them. Tatum’s frustration was evident in the court papers obtained by In Touch Weekly. He believed that his ex-wife continued “to delay resolution and provides one reason after another for why this case cannot settle.”
The former couple finally resolved their difference in late September, but Kazee’s possibly shady Instagram post seems to indicate that there are some residual feelings still lingering.
