Massachusetts man pleads guilty to sexual exploitation of a child
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The U.S. Attorney's Office announced a West Stockbridge, Massachusetts man pleaded guilty to child sex crimes on Thursday. Frank Twing, Sr., 33, faces 15 to 60 years in prison.
In his guilty plea, Twing admitted to engaging in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old and admitted to traveling to New York to have sex with a 12-year-old child. He also admitted to creating sexually explicit videos of the 15-year-old.
In January, Twing was arrested for multiple alleged statutory rape encounters. He was charged with two counts of aggravated statutory rape of a child, two counts of exhibiting or posing a child in a sexual act, and one count of trafficking of a person for sexual servitude.
On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child involving a 15-year-old and one count of travel with intent to engage in unlawful sexual conduct involving a 12-year-old. Twing will be required to register as a sex offender.
Twing is scheduled for sentencing on March 6, 2025. In addition to his prison sentence, he faces 5 years to life of post-release supervision, a fine up to $250,000, special assessments, restitution to the victims and forfeiture of the property he used to commit the offenses.
The FBI's Albany Division Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force investigated this case alongside the New York State Police and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit. The Berkshire County District Attorney's Office also assisted in the investigation.
