Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Khanyar, Jammu and Kashmir, after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists. An encounter began when the terrorists fired upon the search party. The forces retaliated, leading to an ongoing exchange of fire. So far, there are no reports of any casualties on either side.
