Class of 2025 four-star forward John Clark committed to Texas on Friday.

The 6-foot-9 Link Academy forward chose the Longhorns over Houston, Kansas. and Texas A&M.

“I’ll be committing to the University of Texas,” he said on On3. “The culture is awesome and I want to be a part of it.”

He previously visited Texas and told ZAGSBLOG: “Coach [Rodney] Terry and his staff, they were great to me. Texas, it was good. Practice was good, watching the players compete and stuff. Coach Terry and the coaches, they are on them as well so.”

Said Link Academy coach Chad Myers: “John is just touching the surface of how good he will be. He is a capable 3-point shooter and has the ability to step out on the perimeter and drive the basketball.

“He can take advantage of mismatches at the mid post and a high level athlete in transition. His length and motor allow him to rebound out of his area and be a 1-5 switch defender.”

Clark is the first commit for Texas in 2025.
