Bruins Quickly Turning Page Following Bounce-Back Win

The Bruins got back in the win column on Sunday, bouncing back from two consecutive losses with a shutout win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.

It’s already time to turn the page, however.

Boston will immediately head back home for a matchup with the Seattle Kraken on Sunday at TD Garden, so for as satisfying as it was to get a win on Saturday, there’s no time to celebrate.

“I really liked the way we played, the way we started,” Bruins captain Brad Marchand said, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “We did a good job of weathering their pushes throughout the game, where lately we’ve been breaking. We didn’t tonight, so it’s something we can build off of. It’s a great opportunity again tomorrow, so we have to follow it up now.”

The B’s were able to start fast, as the “fourth line” of Cole Koepke, Mark Kastelic and John Beecher frew a quick penalty to begin the game. Boston’s decision to pull back on major line changes proved fortuitous, as their effort was the deciding factor in Philly.

Jim Montgomery just needs them to do it again.

“It’s like our effort overcame our (mental) lapses,” Montgomery said, as seen on NESN. “I think players can be a little bit looser, but now we have to do it two night in a row.”
