Evel Knievel Museum closes its doors one last time
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A local museum closed its doors for the last time Saturday, November 2.
Back in May - the Evel Knievel Museum announced that they will be moving the museum back to it's old stomping grounds in Las Vegas.
For the past seven years, the museum resided next to the historic Harley Davidson store.
The museum brought old memories to some visitors and educated others on the iconic stuntman.
The director of the museum, Bruce Zimmerman, told 27 News how this is a bittersweet moment.
"It's been so much fun to tell the story of Evel Knievel right here in Topeka, Kansas," Zimmerman said. "And sharing with all the public that have come from all over the Midwest and actually all over the world to visit the museum."
The museum saw a record-high attendance of reaching almost 700 visitors on their last day.
