Three arrested for burglaries and thefts

Police on Sunday announced the arrest of three people regarding burglaries, thefts, and other, similar crimes.

Two of the three, aged 42 and 41 years old, were arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation regarding eight cases involving burglaries, thefts, malicious damage, ad money laundering dating back as far as 2018.

The police had searched a house in Nicosia on Saturday night, finding a “large amount” of items including keys, broken hinges, clothing, perfumes, and jewellery, among other items.

The two men who were on the property at the time were as such arrested and taken into custody.

Meanwhile, a 41-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in connection with three cases of burglaries and thefts, all of which were committed on Saturday.

The police’s investigation into both matters is ongoing.
