I first met my boyfriend when I was a kid in his smoothie shop – now I’m 21, he’s 44 & I’m stepmum to his kids
A WOMAN has raised eyebrows online after after sharing how she met her boyfriend who is 23 years her senior.
Ellie Liptrot, 21, and her boyfriend Mark, 44, have been together for three years – first starting their relationship when Ellie was just 18 years old.
She revealed that the pair had lived in the same town for years and had definitely crossed paths before starting their romance.
Ellie, who is now step-mum to Mark’s two children, added that Mark used to own a smoothie shop, and that she used to go there as a child.
In the clip, Mark and Ellie were holding each other before Ellie started her make-up to get ready for the day and answer a fan’s question on how the pair met.
She revealed she was on a Christmas night with a friend when they got hungry.
Her mate then texted their friend, Declan, asking if he could take them out for food, but he wasn’t available and gave them Mark’s number instead.
“We rang him up and said, “Can you take us to get some food?” I think he picked us up at about 1am and we didn’t get dropped back until 7am because Mark obviously had the night of his life.” Ellie recalls.
Mark, now 44, joked that he ignored their call at first, but Ellie put him in his place, saying: ‘You texted us back though.’
Ellie said that she, Declan, her friend, and Mark formed a friendship group and often went on day trips together.
But in March 2022, Ellie realised she liked Mark and the pair kissed while staying at a lodge.
Mark chimed in, laughing, and said: ‘Oh yeah right, I think I tried to go home and you told me not to and made me stay there.’
Ellie then responded: ‘He begged for it. Afterwards I think I practically moved in with you.’
The couple moved in together after dating for just a few months, and in June 2022, she met his two children early on in their relationship.
A week after meeting Mark’s kids, they moved in with Ellie and Mark and even refer to her as their “step-mum”.
She added: ‘If I wasn’t such a greedy girl and wanted food that one time I wouldn’t have met Mark.
