BCCI to take strict action after whitewash, MASSIVE step on Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin
New Delhi: After the shameful defeat against New Zealand, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) seems to be in a mood for action. BCCI has decided to assess this defeat. Let us tell you that Team India’s performance in this series was very poor and it had to face a 3-0 defeat. It was also a matter of concern that the senior players of Team India were completely flopped.
In such a situation, now the news has come out that after the Australia series, BCCI will take big action and remove some senior players from the Test team. This includes the names of many star players. It is believed that these players have played their last match together at home.
Test career of these players in danger:
According to media reports, after the Australia tour, the careers of some veteran players in this format may end. The BCCI is planning to show the way out of the team to experienced players before the start of the next cycle of the World Test Championship. There is a high possibility that the five-match Test series against Australia may be the last for at least two of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. The international career of these four-star players is at the last turn. Virat, Rohit and Jadeja have also retired from the T20I format.
BCCI may hold a meeting soon:
There may be informal discussions between BCCI veterans and selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar, chief head Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit about the team moving forward with older players. A senior BCCI official told PTI on condition of anonymity, ‘It will definitely be assessed and it may be informal as the team will leave for Australia on November 10. This is a big defeat but the Australia series is near and the team has already been announced, so there will be no tinkering as of now.
