Jason Kelce became the subject of outrage for some over the weekend after the retired Philadelphia Eagles star confronted a heckler making fun of his brother Travis Kelce. Now, the elder Kelce is addressing his behavior in the viral incident.
"I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it," Kelce said on the Nov. 4 episode of ESPN's Monday Night Countdown. "In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate and I just don’t think that that’s a productive thing. I really don't I don’t think that it leads to discourse and is the right way to go about things."
"In that moment I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have," he continued. "Bottom line is, I try to live my life by the golden rule. That’s what I’ve always been taught. I try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I’m going to keep doing that moving forward. Even though I fell short of that this week, I'm going to keep moving forward to do that."
"We got a game to focus on. A matchup. I don’t think this is the platform to necessarily go into more detail," he concluded.

It started after someone came up to Kelce on Nov. 2 and repeatedly asked him "How does it feel that your brother is a f--king f----t for dating Taylor Swift?" In response, Kelce grabbed the man's phone and threw it to the ground and asked him, "Who's the f----t now?"
