Los Angeles County sues Pepsi, Coca-Cola over plastic bottles

LOS ANGELES, California: Los Angeles County is suing PepsiCo and Coca-Cola, claiming that the beverage giants misled consumers about the recyclability and environmental impact of their plastic bottles.

The lawsuit accuses both companies of falsely marketing single-use plastic as environmentally friendly despite the limited recyclability of these bottles, which can typically only be recycled once, if at all.
