Same standards for imports, quality control needed to revitalise cement and construction

To achieve the economic growth necessary to tackle South Africa's very high levels of unemployment, it is vital that the public and private sectors collaborate in launching critical infrastructure projects. However, for this revival to be sustainable, the local cement industry must operate under strict quality accountability measures, says cement producer PPC CEO Matias Cardarelli.
