ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Republican Mary Beth Walsh has won in the 112th District of the State Assembly. The Associated Press has called the race for Walsh over Democrat Joe Seeman.

Walsh was first elected as the Assemblywoman of the 112 District in 2016. She said her main focus. Walsh recognized that New York is the leading state in the nation for residents leaving and hopes to address this with her reelection.

Walsh is one of three women in the Minority Conference and plans to continue advocating for families and small businesses. Her leadership has led her to serve two terms as a councilwoman in Ballston, be a member of the Saratoga County IDA, the Saratoga County Autism Council, and more.

The 112th district includes parts of Saratoga, Schenectady, and Fulton Counties. Seeman's primary focus would have included healthcare for all, addressing climate change, the state budget, and building the state's economy.
