London Underground chaos with three Tube lines suspended
No Tube trains are running on the Circle line and much of the Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines, causing chaos on the London Underground.
Passengers thought they had escaped unscathed when drivers called off planned strikes following a successful pay deal between the drivers’ union Aslef and TfL.
But a faulty train has blocked the track at Aldgate this morning, leading to TfL suspending the entire Circle line.
Services have also been suspended along the Metropolitan line between Aldgate to Harrow-on-the-Hill, and on the Hammersmith & City line from Moorgate to Barking, meaning passengers will have to find alternative routes.
Elsewhere, services at London Victoria services were hit by delays and cancellations after a points failure this morning.
Lines between Haywards Heath, Brighton and Lewes were also blocked due to a points failure.
