Cardozo Educators Inspire Future Voters In The Classroom

Vice President Kamala D. Harris, poised to make history as the first woman, first Black woman, first South-Asian woman, and first HBCU graduate to be President of the United States of America, is spending election 2024 at her alma mater—the Mecca, thee illustrious Howard University, in Washington, D.C.

With AI becoming more prevalent, and misinformation and disinformation suffocating our (social) media platforms, amplifying young, Black journalists has never been more important. Join NewsOne as we open the floor to the brilliant student journalists at Howard’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications, as they document the biggest story of their professional careers to date and one of the most memorable nights in this nation’s political history.

This election season, Cardozo Education Campus encourages students to participate in the electoral process despite their inability to cast a vote. Through creative lesson plans, diverse representation, and mock elections, Cardozo’s faculty and staff are boosting morale, hopeful that students will understand how the next four years could impact their early adult lives.
