EASTENDERS killer Reiss Colwell has struck again in disturbing scenes tonight – and it’s bad news for Sonia Fowler.
The creepy accountant – who is played by actor Jonny Freeman in the BBC soap – murdered his comatose wife Debbie earlier this year and has let his pregnant fiancee Sonia go to prison awaiting trial for the crime.
Viewers know Bianca has been onto him for weeks and today she found evidence that forced Reiss into confessing.
Rushing home Reiss was confronted by Bianca who had a copy of the CCTV tape that showed him at the care home.
Bianca demanded answers but Reiss would only repeat: “I didn’t kill Debbie.”
Losing her mind, Bianca raged at Reiss and finally broke him.
“I did kill Debbie,” he said after her onslaught.
“You little saddo,” she screamed. “I’m calling the police and my little sister’s going to be out by the morning.”
But as she went to get her phone and call 999, Reiss grabbed the computer and the USB drive and smashed it with the kitchen table.
Bianca insisted she would phone the police anyway but he told her that no-one would believe her.
Insisting that pregnant Sonia would survive in prison, Reiss tried to convince Bianca just to wait – and she somehow didn’t call the police.
Instead she listened to his sob story about finding Debbie after her stroke, him playing on her emotions about finding her own brother Billy dead.
And she fell for his manipulations.
He convinced her he had the pillow that he used to kill Debbie in a lock-up nearby and they went to it together.
But before they left Bianca secretly armed herself with one of Dot’s candlesticks before getting into her Taco truck and driving off – watched by Martin from across the Square.
Arriving at the lock-up, Bianca was horrified to find a sound-proofed room full of Debbie’s clothing and belongings.
And as she demanded the pillow, Reiss locked the door and told her: “There is no pillow. I’m sorry Bianca.”
