Teen charged in LG high school football bus incident

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested an 18-year-old from Lake George concerning the incident that led to the cancelation of the Lake George, Warrensburg, and Bolton Landing football season. Deputies said the person's name would not be released because of the defendant's age.

Deputies said the incident happened on Saturday, Aug. 31, on a Lake George Central School District bus. Through an investigation, deputies found that a member of the Wolverines football team engaged in a lewd act against a juvenile on the bus when returning from an event in Syracuse.

The 18-year-old was charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child and arraigned in Warren County CAP Court. The person was released following arraignment.
