The big recent news has been that Pontypridd RFC Head Coach Chris Dicomidis will be leaving the Club to take on the role of Team Manager with Cardiff Rugby. Chris’ last match in the dugout will be when Ponty play Brecon at Sardis Road on Saturday 16th November.
The Club can confirm the make-up of the team’s coaching structure after Dico leaves – we are delighted to announce Kristian Parker as Pontypridd RFC’s new interim-Head Coach. Kristian will start in his new role following the conclusion of the team’s match against Brecon a week on Saturday, and he will continue to combine his coaching duties with playing. Kris will be ably supported by the current coaching team of Iestyn Harris, Garyn Smith, Rob Jones and Team Manager Stuart Rix, who will all continue in their roles.
The team has had a fantastic start to the season under the current coaching team’s guidance, and in true Pontypridd fashion we know that all of our supporters will continue to give Kristian, Iestyn, Garyn, Rob and Stuart your full backing as we move forward.
