Adele Discusses End of Her Vegas Residency Ahead of Indefinite Break From Music

Adele is reflecting on the impending end of her Las Vegas residency.

The 36-year-old “Easy on Me” star has been performing in Sin City for nearly two years now, but the run of shows is coming to an end later this month. Afterwards, she announced plans for an indefinite hiatus from music.

During a recent show, Adele admitted that she was “genuinely sad” about the end of the residency. She also opened up about the impact that the show had on her life.

“This really is the beginning of the end. There are no other f-cking shows,” Adele assured fans who might have been hoping for a last-minute extension, via People. “I’m not going to be like, ‘Surprise!’ This is the end.”

She continued, saying, “They say that if you want things and you are looking for things in life, you have to pay the universe and then it pays you back tenfold.”

“My life is a thousand times better. My life, not my career, not my music. I’m talking about my actual life. And I really, truly think that this show has been my best friend throughout all of that,” Adele said.
