Preview: St Mirren (H)

0

We’re back at Easter Road this weekend as we take on St Mirren in the William Hill Premiership – read the full match preview below.

Fixtures

  • Hibernian Vs. St. Mirren - Sat, Nov 9th 2024, 15:00

THE LOWDOWN

The match is the final game before the November international break, with the Hibees looking to go into the break with a positive result.

David Gray’s side come into this one off the back of three consecutive draws in the league – picking up points against Hearts (1-1), Ross County (0-0) and Dundee United (1-1) in the last fortnight.

Those results have seen us slip to the bottom of the table, with eight points from 11 matches, however, we do have a game in hand on the teams above us.

Saturday’s visitors, St Mirren, currently sit in seventh place on 12 points after 12 games.

TEAM NEWS

The Hibees will be without Mykola Kuharevich who is unavailable due to suspension after picking up two yellow cards against Dundee United last weekend.

Chris Cadden and Dwight Gayle both missed our fixture with Dundee United and their respective injuries and fitness will be closely monitored this week in training.

Gray will provide a full team news update – including the latest on Cadden, Gayle and Lewis Miller – when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon.

THE VISITORS

St Mirren are one of four teams tied in the middle of the table on 12 points. The Buddies have picked up 11 of those points at home, but they have struggled on the road this season.

Stephen Robinson’s side come into this one after a 3-1 victory over St Johnstone, before playing out a goalless draw with Ross County in Paisley.

This is the second time we have played St Mirren this season, having lost our William Hill Premiership opener 3-0 at The SMiSA Stadium in August.
