The young girl’s mother, Nethra Gowda from Bengaluru, shared the delightful interaction with the Dhoni family on her Instagram account which soon went viral on social media. Nethra called it a ‘dream come true’ for her husband and the best ‘gift’ on her daughter’s 4th birthday.

“Yesss, we met MS Dhoni, sir, luckily while traveling in a flight. It’s a dream come true moment for my husband, and we got the best gift on my daughter’s 4th birthday.”

In her post, she further mentions how humble Sakshi Dhoni is, describing how she spoke to their family as if they were close friends, making the experience even more special. “My daughter was bit scared to go and sit with MS Dhoni sir because sir was wearing mask. And Sakshi ma’am was like, ‘He is very scary and he scares me also’,” the Bengaluru woman said.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was retained for Rs 4 crore as an ‘uncapped’ player by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction which is set to take place in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25. It will be a 17th season in the Indian Premier League for the former captain of CSK.
