Una Healy breaks silence on new boyfriend as they make first red carpet appearance
THE Saturdays singer Una Healy has opened up about her new relationship with retired jockey Aidan Coleman.
Popstar Una looked stunning as she rocked the red carpet at The Irish Post Awards at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The 42-year-old and the retired Irish jockey attended the swanky event which marked their debut public appearance.
The If This Is Love singer told The Sun about her new flame: “He’s hiding on his crutches tonight, but he’s a great guy and I’m very happy.”
On how they met, she revealed: “He reached out to me and we met up and clicked.
“He’s such a kind and great person – I love him.”
The mum-of-two wowed the crowds in a floor-length beaded grey cocktail dress with a cut-out neckline and detailed beaded shoulders.
Her hair was piled into a glamorous high bun with loose tendrils at the front. She accessorised with strappy sandals, striking make-up and dark nails.
Aidan, 36, was suited and booted in a chic black tux and velvet suit jacket.
The loved-up pair partied the night away, although they didn’t walk down the red carpet together.
Sportsman Aidan retired on medical advice in April this year after suffering a career-ending leg injury in a fall at Worcester in 2023.
The jockey had more than 1,200 career wins and rode in the Grand National.
He was once labelled racing’s ‘next big thing’ and established himself as one of the top riders around when crushing his leg in a devastating fall.
Other famous faces at the event included Eamonn Holmes and his new girlfriend Katie Alexander, Michael Flatley, Ryan Tubridy and Laura Whitmore.
The Irish singer was recently seen enjoying a luxury cruise with her new man. Wearing matching red outfits, the pair looked happy as they posed alongside a group for a night on deck.
The Headlines! singer married England rugby star Ben Foden in 2012 but split and have two children together.
The performer was left heartbroken when her marriage ended in 2019 after he cheated on her with PR girl Becky Milne.
Una was previously in a throuple relationship with heavyweight champion boxer David Haye.
Healy said she has previously rushed into relationships too quickly following her divorce from cheating ex Foden.
She said: “You do feel a pressure, maybe that’s why I dated so quickly and went into a relationship with someone after my divorce so fast.
“I felt, ‘I need someone, I have to fine someone,’ and I didn’t at all!
“That just never worked out anyway, for the best, but I did think there was a lot of pressure on me to find someone.”
