Tottenham fans will not like what Paul Pogba just said about the club

Paul Pogba has directed a jibe at Tottenham Hotspur and Spurs fans while appearing on a popular Twitch channel this week.

Pogba has not kicked a football competitively since September of last year, which was when he was found guilty of doping.

While the midfielder was initially banned for four years, that ban has since been reduced to 18 months after the Frenchman pleaded that he consumed the banned substance unintentionally.

That means that the 31-year-old can return to the game in March of next year, and in the meantime, he has plenty of free time on his hands, which is perhaps why he decided to make an appearance on IShowSpeed’s Twitch channel.

During the stream, Pogba and the host discussed many different matters and even had live conversations with supporters of various clubs.

One of those who rang in was a Spurs fan, who stated during the conversation that Tottenham were a better team than Manchester United.

Pogba decided to come to the support of his former side, with the 31-year-old then responding: “When Spurs win a trophy, then you can come back!”

Tottenham fans will be hoping this is the year

Spurs fans have had to live with the trophy jibes for a long time, so much so that many of us are immune to it at this point.

The Tottenham faithful will be hoping that this is the year that the side puts an end to that by breaking their 16-year trophy drought.

Ange Postecoglou and the Spurs players certainly appear to believe that they are capable of doing that.
