WR Keon Coleman out vs. Colts, Bills unsure of timeline
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts because of a wrist injury, and the team is still determining how long the rookie will be unavailable.
"It's probably going to be more than this week," coach Sean McDermott said Friday. "It's probably going to be multiple weeks."
McDermott said the team has considered placing Coleman on injured reserve, but wants more clarity on his recovery timeline.
Coleman got hurt late in Sunday's 30-27 win against the Dolphins when he got hit by former Bills safety Jordan Poyer, who was penalized for unnecessary roughness on the play.
Drafted with the first pick in the second round, Coleman has caught 22 passes for 417 yards and three touchdowns in nine games.
Everybody else on the Bills roster took part in Wednesday's walk-through and Thursday's practice. The following players were limited by injuries: receivers Amari Cooper (wrist), Mack Hollins (shoulder) and Curtis Samuel (pectoral), cornerback Kaiir Elam (shoulder) and fullback Reggie Gilliam (hip).
Starting cornerback Christian Benford was a full participant after missing the game against the Dolphins with a wrist injury.
