Coimbatore police arrested Omkar Balaji, son of IMK founder Arjun Sampath, for threatening to cut off the tongue of journalist R Gopal. Balaji made the threat during a protest against Gopal's reporting on the Isha Yoga Centre. Although Balaji filed for anticipatory bail and was ordered to apologize, he was arrested following a complaint by a DMK member.
