Abhishek Sharma faces sharp criticism as poor form continues in 2nd South Africa T20I

Indian left-handed batter Abhishek Sharma failed to impress yet again and continued his poor form in the second T20I against South Africa. After winning the first T20I comprehensively, things didn’t go quite as planned for India as Sanju Samson, who scored a century in the previous match, got dismissed for a 3-ball duck.

After losing Samson early, Abhishek alongside skipper Suryakumar Yadav were expected to steady India’s innings, however the complete opposite happened as the former ended up losing his wicket to pacer Geral Coetzee for just 4 runs. His dismissal left India reeling at 5/2 after 1.5 overs.

This disappointing knock led to Abhishek getting trolled on social media for continuing his slump in form. Many fans also said that the batter can only perform on flat pitches in Indian Premier League (IPL).

The others pointed out how the left-hander has only managed to score 46 runs in his past 5 T20I innings and called for him to be dropped from the squad as there are many youngsters who are waiting for their chance.
