Deputies arrest Valatie man accused of rape
BALLSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Saratoga County Sheriff's Office arrested a Valatie man on Friday accused of rape and violating an order of protection. Deputies said Shane Morris, 29, is facing multiple charges.
Deputies responded to Westside Drive in Ballston around 10:36 a.m. on Friday for an inactive sexual assault complaint. An investigation by Deputies accuses Morris of engaging in forcible sexual contact with someone, violating a court order, and placing the person in fear of physical injury, serious physical injury, or death by displaying a baseball bat.
Charges
- First-degree rape
- First-degree criminal contempt
- Second-degree menacing
Morris was arraigned in Malta Town Court. He remains in Saratoga County Jail in place of bail, bond, or partially-secured bond pending further case action.
