Troy condemns unstable building, set for demolition
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A building on 5th Avenue in Troy has been issued an emergency condemnation.
Mayor Carmella Mantello said a severe instability was found during an inspection. The perimeter was secured, and there's no imminent threat to the public.
The building will be removed on Friday. 5th Avenue between Federal and Jacob Streets will be closed Friday morning for the work to be completed. The demolition will be at the property owners' expense, the mayor said.
