Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for a new Dean Shoes manufacturing unit at the SIPCOT industrial park in Jayankondam. The Taiwanese company's Rs 1,000 crore investment is expected to create 15,000 jobs, mostly for women.
