Ex-MI pacer picked 10 wickets: Joins elite group before IPL 2025 mega auctions
Anshul Kamboj, who was taken by Mumbai Indians (MI) during the IPL 2024 auctions, made history as he became the third ever bowler in the history of Ranji Trophy to have taken all 10 wickets in a single innings.
As the team was facing Kerala on Day 3 of their 5th-round match in Lahli, Anshul broke through the batting lineup of Kerala as he removed all four half-centurions by the time it was tea break.
As he started the day with eight wickets already to his name, Kamboj did not take time to dismiss Basil Thampi and secure his ninth wicket. He then claimed his 10th wicket as he dismissed Shoun Roger, which meant the whole Kerala team being wrapped up with a score of 291. The final figures by Anshul were 30.1 overs, 9 maidens, 49 runs and 10 wickets.
Anshul secured his name in the record books of Ranji Trophy as the third ever bowler to claim all 10 wickets in a single innings. Mohan Chatterjee was the first ever person to achieve this feat in 1956-57, followed by Pradeep Sunderam in 1985-86.
