As I stood alone on the snow-rimmed shore of Upper Kananaskis Lake, a veil of backlit mist hovering over the water, I wondered if the morning glory had reached its prime. But suddenly, a sun-kissed peak powered through the fog and I realized my shooting spree was far from over. I set my tripod down, framed another shot and hit the shutter. Then I did it again.
