Clifton Park man sentenced to 25 years to life in 2023 fatal barbershop shooting

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Clifton Park man was sentenced to 25 years to life after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter. Timmoure Miller, 20, was indicted in October 2023 and pleaded guilty in October 2024 to his involvement in the shooting death of 47-year-old barber Tyrone Staley.

In May 2023, officers responded to Village Barber and Beauty on the 200 block of Second Avenue for reports of three people being shot. Staley died from his injuries and a nine-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

On September 15, 2023, Miller was arrested. He was later indicted on six counts including second-degree murder, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree hindering prosecution.

About a year later, Miller pleaded guilty, admitting to intentionally causing the death of Staley. According to the Albany County District Attorney's Office, the indictment alleged that on May 13, 2023, Miller agreed with a group of people to shoot Staley, causing his death.

Miller also faces five years of parole. The case was prosecuted by Albany County Assistant District Attorney Joseph Brucato.
