Death of 11-month-old Bronx girl ruled homicide by ME
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – The Chief Medical Examiner on Friday ruled the death of an 11-month-old girl in the Bronx to be a homicide.
The infant was found dead in a damp bathtub in a home on West Farms Road on Aug. 15, according to sources. Police say Jazeli Mirabal was found unconscious and unresponsive.
Her mother was questioned by the NYPD, sources told PIX11 News, but no charges were filed.
There are no arrests and the incident is still under investigation.
Earlier this week, the death of a 4-month-old Bronx boy in August was also ruled a homicide. The child died of acute cocaine intoxication, according to the medical examiner.
There have been no arrests in the boy's death.
