Madison Theatre to reopen Thursday

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Madison Theatre in Albany will be reopening on Thursday.

Albany Common Councilman Owusu Anane said the doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. The restaurant and bar will be open, and people will have the opportunity to take a tour. At 7:30 p.m., a local artist from Troy and another artist will be performing.

Anane said they're still hiring bartenders and servers. he said the opening of the theater is an "honor" and called the theater itself "a landmark in Albany " with "overwhelming neighborhood support."
