Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will return as co-hosts, joined this year by Lainey Wilson. While it's her first time hosting the show, she's no stranger to the CMA Awards. Wilson was named the Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year in 2023, two categories she is once again nominated for this year. Other nominees include Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, and Little Big Town.
The evening will be chock-full of performances, including appearances from Luke Combs, Kacey Musgraves, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, and Post Malone, among others. The CMAs will also have several "special collaborations," including one from Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan. The presenter list is just as star-studded as the nominees and performers, with Simone Biles, Freddie Freeman, and Billy Bob Thornton among those scheduled to appear. Additionally, George Strait will be honored with a tribute performance from Jamey Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, Stapleton, and Wilson.

How to watch the CMA Awards in the US
The CMA Awards will air on ABC on Wednesday, November 20, at 8 p.m. ET in the US. Those without cable can still live stream the awards show using a month-to-month live TV streaming service like Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, or Fubo.
Sling TV will be the cheapest option, but local channel coverage (like ABC) is also the most selective through Sling, so you should check to make sure it's available in your zip code before subscribing. You'll need to subscribe to Sling Blue to access local networks (and 40+ other live channels). Subscriptions cost $40/month, but you can usually get about half off your first month of service.
DirecTV Stream and Fubo both offer broad ABC coverage, so they're great options if Sling doesn't carry the network in your region or you're looking for a more comprehensive cable alternative. DirecTV Stream subscriptions start at $87/month and come with a five-day free trial. Fubo subscriptions, which start at $80/month, include a seven-day free trial and $20 off your first month of service.
How to watch the CMA Awards from anywhere
Traveling outside the US and still hoping to tune in to the CMA Awards? You can still keep up with your usual subscriptions while abroad with the help of a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs enable you to change your virtual location so that your go-to websites and apps work just like they would back home. Plus, they're solid ways to give your online privacy a boost. This will work best for Americans who are just traveling abroad since the services we've recommended require US payment methods.
ExpressVPN is our go-to recommendation for those who don't already have a VPN. It's a user-friendly option with a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can check out our ExpressVPN review for a full breakdown of the service.
