Why Billy Bob Thornton Wears Women's Jeans
Actor Billy Bob Thornton has worn plenty of casual outfits on the red carpet over the years. When it comes to jeans, however, he's quite specific about what he likes to wear.
Thornton spoke about his sartorial choices in a Nov. 19 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. He explained that when wearing jeans, he opts for the women's option instead of men's because of how they fit his body.
"The reason I don't like to wear men's jeans is because they're all too baggy," he said. "I've got bird legs and it just feels like I'm in a tent. I like a nice fit and they fit great with boots." He admitted he wears a women's size 6, which Barrymore said she'd struggle to fit into.
Thornton has spent recent weeks promoting his new Paramount+ series Landman, co-created by Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan. It marks his second time working with Sheridan after Thornton had a cameo appearance on Yellowstone spin-off 1883. On the show, Thornton plays West Texas oilman Tommy Norris, placing the Southern-bred actor in an environment likely similar to the one he grew up in—and one filled with plenty of jeans.
New episodes of Landman stream every Sunday on Paramount+.
