Ford faces weak EV sales, to cut 4,000 jobs in Europe, UK
FRANKFURT, Germany: Ford Motor Co. announced plans to reduce its workforce in Europe and the U.K. by 4,000 jobs by the end of 2027.
The automaker cited economic challenges, intensifying competition, and weaker-than-expected electric vehicle (EV) sales as key factors driving the decision.
Most of the layoffs will occur in Germany, where 2,900 jobs are set to be cut, while 800 positions will be eliminated
