Fight Night takes over West Ridge Mall
TOPEKA (KSNT) - It's Fight Night at the West Ridge Mall as boxing returns to the Capital City.
Several local athletes took to the ring on Saturday, Nov. 23 including the Iron Man - John Cantrell. Many of athletes' families came a long ways to see them in action tonight including boxer, Danielle Bennet.
"It was really exciting," Tina Lewis, family friend of Danielle, said. "I actually came down here from Arkansas. To come down and see Danielle. It was kind of strange that it was in a mall but all the fights were really really good. They weren't taking it too slow, or was one sided. They were matched up very well. It was a great time. "
A total of 10% of the fight's proceeds will go to benefit the Topeka Youth Project.
