One injured after Smith Street shooting in Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department (CPPD) is investigating a shooting on Smith Street. The incident took place early on Monday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired around 12:26 a.m. on Smith Street. Officers arriving to the area found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
The victim was tended to by first responders before being taken to a local hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury. According to police, detectives and crime scene technicians collected multiple items of evidence on the scene.
