Rain clears out in Portland as Thanksgiving approaches
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Showers will taper off on Tuesday as the upper-level low-pressure center responsible for Monday's light showers continues to weaken and moves eastward and out the door.
After a foggy morning start, mostly cloudy skies will remain with highs near the upper 40s. An evening sprinkle is possible by dinnertime, but the day will remain mostly dry.
Travel should be good along the I-5 corridor as well as over the Cascades and the coast range. Road conditions are looking great. Temperatures in the valley should top out in the upper 40s for the remainder of the week with some areas of morning fog and low clouds, but the afternoons will remain dry with partial afternoon sunshine
If you have some time off of work, it's going to be a great opportunity to get those festive holiday lights put up or maybe hit the ski slopes. Area ski resorts have as much as five feet of snow on the ground and it is likely to remain there throughout the week as a cool air mass settles in.
