Erie Canal 2025 calendars up for grabs on December 1
WATERFORD, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Residents can secure a copy of the 2025 Erie Canal Calendar from the Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor starting Sunday, December 1. The calendar includes the winning photos from the 2024 Erie Canalway Photo Contest.
The calendars are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Jeff Tracy shot the cover of the 2025 calendar, which depicts fireworks over Locks 34 and 35 in Lockport. New York State Canal Corporation Director Brian Stratton said the calendar commemorates the Erie Canal's 200th year of operation.
"This year's edition of the Erie Canalway Calendar highlights all of what makes the canal so special: maritime heritage, environmental stewardship, accessible recreation, history, and culture," Stratton said. "Congratulations to this year's winners, whose photography makes the arrival of the calendar a favorite annual tradition."
